How do I stop the brake squeal on my 2024 R/T Plus?

The brake squeal on my 2024 R/T Plus is really loud, and it usually happens in the morning or after a few hours of sitting. It occurs while braking softly on a hill for ten to twenty seconds. After warming up, it disappears, but after a thousand miles, it becomes worse. Is anyone else coping with this? I thought the pads only needed to be "bedded in."

I've noticed the same thing with my Hornet GT! It usually pops up first thing in the morning, especially after a good rainstorm. But once the brakes warm up, it’s like the issue just vanishes. Weird, right?

Does this happen every morning? And when it happens, how is the weather outside? You might get a thin layer of rust on your rotors because of the humidity.

Exactly! It seems like moisture or environmental factors might be affecting the brakes. Glad to hear it disappears once they warm up.

Yes, it happens every morning, especially if it's damp or rainy. A thin layer of rust on the rotors makes sense.
