Hello! Has anyone else had problems with the gas tank door on their Dodge? Mine wouldn’t open, and the emergency release in the trunk wouldn’t move by hand. Seems like it would need pliers to work.
It sounds like the release cable might be seized or slightly out of alignment, which would explain why it’s so hard to move. Before resorting to pliers, you could try applying some lubricant to the cable and the gas door hinge. If the door itself won’t budge, it might also be worth checking if the locking mechanism is engaging properly. A quick trip to the dealership might be the best bet if the issue doesn’t resolve. Hopefully, it’s just a small hiccup and not a bigger mechanical issue.Hello! Has anyone else had problems with the gas tank door on their Dodge?
